Capture real prices

Estimates are modeled. To get actual prices, open each app from here, read the upfront price, and type it in. RideCompare ranks the real numbers and learns your market's surge from every quote you log.

No public feed exists for live surge. Set it manually if the apps look busy.

Why there is no live price feed

Uber — GET /estimates/price exists but "requires approval from Uber" Business Development. No consumer app can call it.

Lyft — the public developer API and the node/iOS/Android SDKs are deprecated and archived. No cost endpoint is open.

Waymo — no public pricing API at all; prices show only inside the Waymo One app.

Taxis — metered, regulated, no real-time quote feed. Karhoo is the one genuine multi-fleet taxi quote API, but it is a commercial B2B contract, not self-serve.

So this app does the only honest thing: it models the fare from published rate cards, then hands you off to each provider to read the real number, and remembers it. After a few trips the model converges on your market's actual prices.

Offline-capable. No account, no tracking, no server. Your trips and rate edits stay in this browser's storage. Estimates are estimates — the provider's upfront price in their own app is the only number that binds.
